A DOZEN SEASONAL SONGS - ADDED TO THIS POST THROUGHOUT TODAY AND TOMORROW

1. "Blue Christmas" by Elvis Presley

2. "Do You Hear What I Hear" by Carrie Underwood

3. "White Christmas" by The Carpenters

4. "White Christmas Makes Me Blue" by Randy Travis

5. * * * * * "Love Comes" by Annie Lennox feat. Jimmy Cliff * * * * *
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
I don't know if anyone else thought of this as an Xmas song, but I included it as the lead song on one of  my Xmas mixes and it has since become a seasonal fave.  The message is totally seasonal.

6. "Winter Wonderland" by Eurythmics

Another all time seasonal favorite by one of my all time favorite artists.

7. "Christmas Tree" by Lady Gaga feat Space Cowboy
A fan made video of a soon of a new Xmas classic!!  It is worth clicking through to watch this on Youtube.  A giddy romp!!
Note: only part of the song plays here.
Thanks to electricdigest.

The full song plays here.
Ra pa pam pam!!

8. "Little Drummer Boy" by Destiny's Child
Album cover only/Better Audio

Interesting photo montage of DC career retrospective
that repeats a couple of times/audio not so good.
Montage reminds us of the evolution of Destiny's Child.
El montaje nos hace acordar a la evolución de Destiny's Child.
Gracias a cantorricardo!!

9. "Baby Please Come Home" by Darlene Love

10.  "River" by Joni Mitchell
This song originally appeared on Joni Mitchell's BLUE album.  It has been covered by James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, Sarah McLachlan and Sixpence None The Richer and been featured on their Xmas albums.

11.  "Santa Baby" by Eartha Kitt

12. "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey
Last, but certainly not least.  I did not rank these songs.  I promised a dozen and this was the order that they came to me.  This song ranks as one of the all time
bestselling Xmas songs.  It was released in 1994 but was still topping
Billboard's 100 HOT HOLIDAY SONGS during last Christmas season.

PREVIEW OF 12/24 & 12/25 MERRY CHRISTMAS/XMAS!! - SEASONAL SONGS

MERRY CHRISTMAS/XMAS EVE, EVERYONE!!

Today and tomorrow I will present some of my all time favorite seasonal songs.  Just about every year for the past decade I have compiled an Xmas mix and shared with friends.  I'm going to post some of the songs I have loved for decades, starting with the King.

Plus, be on the lookout for pix from my decked out pad.

Also, a post about the King of Pop MJ's new CD, "MICHAEL".

CHANGE YOUR LIFE: "If You Buy This Record (Your Life Will Be Better)"

A few months ago I tried having a moving/yard sale to try to unload some of the CDs that were overcrowding my apartment.  I ended up moving to a smaller apartment and was trying to make sure I would have room for everything else!!

While the yard sale was going on, I thought about this song and found my CD single and showed it to my friends that were helping me out that day.

Last Millenium, I used to try to buy a CD every week.  What I really mean by that is that I would go to Circuit City or Best Buy and check out the new releases and the rest of the selection, pick up several CDS and then try to limit myself to just one.  I couldn't afford more than that.  Sometimes I picked up 2 or 3 or more.  Well, that was before the dawn of the digital age.

My old habit died, and the music industry has been losing business steadily over the past decade.  CD sales have slumped, dropping around 10% every year.  Digital sales have taken off in recent years, but in no way make up for the numbers the industry sold in the last millenium.

Please check this out to learn more about the music industry's misfortune in recent times.

For 2011 I resolve to return to my old habits, but this time I will be buying music from iTunes and Amazon.com and emusic.  Digital Music.  It doesn't overcrowd my apartment, AND it is good for the environment.  Plus, there are great promotional deals on digital music all the time.  As you may already know, iTunes and Amazon regularly offer free tracks.  Amazon has a deal of the day that usually sells for $1.99 - $3.99.

In fact, Amazon is offering 10 top Albums of 2010 for $3.99 starting today and for a limited time.  Artists included in the deal are Kanye West, Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas, Josh Groban, Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire, Maroon 5, Ke$ha, Bruno Mars and Re-mastered Rolling Stones.

Do yourself a favor.  If you buy these records your life will be better.

This record features a sample from "Material Girl" by Madonna.
"Fa..fa..fa..fa..fa..fa..fa../fa..fa..fa..fa..fa..fa..fa../fa..fa..fa..fa..fa..fa..fa... faboulous"
