This song reminds me of when I moved to NYC. I rented a room in a hotel for the first month, and it didn't have a TV - all I had was a radio. I listened to Hot 97 constantly - they were transitioning from a Dance format to a hip-hop format at the time, and they played this song constantly. Anytime I hear it, I think back to that time.
